Philips SNB6500 need help

Ive been using wireless internet with a philips SNB6500 and its worked fine. I came home to find someone had unplugged the cable from the modem to the router and put it into my laptop. It still connects to the wireless network but nothing comes up on the browser and the internet doesnt work at all, and to make things worse i cant remember the password for the router settings. Anyone know whats gone wrong? Thanks
