Help using windows 7

Hello,
I just started using a new laptop with windows 7. been using vista in the past. I am trying to edit some photos and music manually. but by the time I finish editing an entire folder, some of the files have disappeared. If I check the properties of the folder containing the files, it shows that there is the correct number of files but when I open the folder, they are not there. Don't know where they are. Been trying to edit music info of some of my files. but they just keep disappearing.

Hi, found my answer after searching far and wide. It is caused by the McAfee program. Their update last May is causing this and they have yet to release a fix for this. Really frustrating because they have known about this issue since May and it is already August. Anyone else with the same problem can refer to the McAfee forums https://community.mcafee.com/message/190563#190563
