More Information

I download Diggnation (torrent) xvid, no problems watching it until a couple of weeks ago. Now I keep getting "Windows Media Player cannot play the file because it is corrupted." after a few moments of play time. so I re-downloaded, same thing, tried different formats .WMV .XVID, same thing, did direct downloads, still no luck. Then tried Quicktime, I get a buffer overflow error. So I get K-Lite Mega Codec Pack 1.53 which has its own player. now the videos just stop working all together & freeze after a couple of minutes of play on that player also. now I download a episode of Digital Life to see if it's a diggnation problem, nope same thing in several of the formats there also.
Now for the weird part, older shows that I downloaded months ago work fine. This tell me the player is ok. but it's like any kind of video file I download now is getting corrupt somehow, and it doesn't matter how I download them. I also tried putting them on a mem stick & playing them on a different computer, they are still corrupt or buffer overflow. Any Ideal on where to look next? I'de rather not do a fresh install of XP just because my video files are getting corrupted on download.
