I just put together a new box with the intent of a triple boot, XP, Vista and Linux (Knoppix). I currently have it dual-booting with XP and Vista (Beta 2 of course), when I installed Vista it put in it's own new bootloader. Does anyone know if the Vista bootloader recognizes Linux, or if the Knoppix bootloader (dont remember if it's LILO or GRUB) recognizes Vista? Can I install Knoppix onto my already dual-booted system or am I going to have to wipe the drive and install them in a different order? If it makes a difference I have Knoppix 4.0.2, and am considering downloading 5.0.1. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

EDIT: Damn, just realized something, I have a nForce 570 mobo, nVidia doesn't have Linux drivers for it yet. Oh well, it's still worth a shot.

The OSS in-kernel nforce chipset drivers and the forcedeth network drivers will work just fine with your board.

And to anwswer your install order question, you actually installed the OS's in the preferred order (Windows first, then Linux). Which ever bootloader you choose (dependant on your distro usually) will be able to recognize the Windows installs and will add them to the boot menu. If you are still adventurous enough to install (usually very painless, but if something goes wrong it can be a headache, we can help), make sure you have either a spare hard disk in the system or spare space on an already used disk in the system, the installer will know what to do.

Yes indeed it should work just fine with the open source drivers.

Give FC5 or Ubuntu a try.
