hi guys,

i would like to enquiry whether window xp home sp1 is able to recongise a 160gb ide harddisk??

Yes.
Origional xp would only see 137 gig. SP1 fixed this with a 48 bit addressing patch.
If you can get your hands on or order from Microsoft an SP2 cd. This will update the origional straight to SP2. Much simpler instead of doing it in steps.

yeah, sp2 will take care of that easily, i had that same issue with ppl coming to me over 15 times, hehe :lol:
