I just had a quick question here. i was wondering if there is any way of uninstalling windows movie maker. i dont use it so why have it i have windows xp pro. any help thanks

Yeah man it seems like we can’t delete it, I tried using add remove programs and removing windows components section .still no luck, In program’s help there no section for getting rid from it . In the installation folder there isn’t a uninstall icon either, I am not sure may be we have to get rid from it when we are installing windows or we can just delete the folder.

yeah i know i could use nlite to remove it from the windows installatin process, but i dont really want to reinstall windows now , oh well. thanks though

But you know It’s sounds very Odd .can’t remove a windows component. I think there must be another way we don’t know to remove it from windows.

well it looks like i was able to delete movie maker. i used a programed called xplite and used the trial version to remove movie maker. this program also let syou remove alot of other stuff too.

right click "administrative Templates" and click add remove templates. you will then have a dialg box with a list of templates. Click Add and this should open the Windows\system32\inf folder and list a number of .ADM files. From the list add in Conf.adm and System.adm. Close the Add/Remove temples box and you should now have the requied options
