8800 GTS Artifacts

Hello. I have had my BFG 8800 GTS for about four months now and since I first got it games like oblivion and dark messiah and other games like it have been full of artifacts like crazy. Basically if you look at anything you see tons of little flashing white texture things, it is like the computer is updating little pieces of the screen at all times, there is seriously like ten of them going on screen at any given time. Here is my comp stats: E6400, 2 gb Corsair XMS2, and a BIOSTAR TForce965PT LGA 775 Intel P965 Express MB.

My GPU temps run around 55 C even while playing games. I have messed with the graphic settings in every way and no matter what it does it. I have the newest drivers for the GPU. I do not know why this is happening and I was wondering if anyone else has had this probelm and could tell me what is causing it. Thank you.
