motherboard front panel help

hi, hope any1 can help me out, i recently bought a new pc case, and look at the front panel and the pc case, its different im not sure which leds to go which.. hope you can help

PC CASE CABLES
PWR LED 3 pin header but the middle one has no wires on it
PWR SW 2 PIN
SPEAKER 3 PIN
RESET 2 PIN
HDD LED 2 PIN

  1. The information for the front panel connectors is in your motherboard manual. The connectors themselves come with the case. A tip I discovered is that there is a tiny triangle on the positive conectors. Follow the manual diagram.
  2. Have you checked the manual for the motherboard?

    What brand and model motherboard is it for? The frontpanel connector type you picture looks a bit like the one I've seen on some Chaintech boards. Some of the connectors are supposed to be placed vertically and not horizontally as is normal. There's likely a further group of connectors close the the group you have pictured. It may contain the PWR_On and 4pin PWR_LED connectors.

    TYPE OF MOTHERBOAD IS
    Columbia (GA-8SIML) Ver 1.0 µATX motherboard

    the diagram i got is from the packard bell website..
    just not sure which one plugs into which >.< just dont want to plug into the wrong one

  4. No im trying to use the motherboard onto the new pc case i bought.
