Motherboard- Asus M2N4-SLI
HD- 250 GB
Memory- 1GB

i need some help tunning it... i want to reach Overclock @ 3.0GHz

what do i need to buy to make the temp. stable... at stock my cpu is 48 - 58 degrees depending...

i need a detailed guive to OC it... can someone help me :)???

apreciated...

For the GHz and CPU model you talk is a Windsor Core so your multiplier is 11. OK :!:

To achieve 3.0 GHz your FSB = 273 your HT Link = 3X (273 * 3 = 819 MHz) later if you stable the cpu you can try HT Link of 4X (273 * 4 1092 MHz) keep in mind that memory controler of AMD is 1000 MHz so not good to start with a number surpass 1000 MHz.

You don't talk about your memory speed and timings, this is important thing to consider. The mobo have memory ratio or you can adjust the memory speed :?:

The voltage maybe need to bump a little, What is your stock voltage :?:

I'm not sure maybe is around 1.35v, so maybe you need to go through 1.40v, 1425v or little more but I'm not sure because I don't have that mobo. For cooling consider at least a tower type like Tunic Tower from Tunic or Scythe Infinity or Ninja Plus, or Titan Vanessa from gigabyte, some people here have Artic Cooler 64 Freezer 7 92mm, but everything depend where you live, for me I used Scythe Ninja because I wants the most powerful solution possible. This are useful link to newegg for you see the cooler I talkin about, but please don't use Zalman cooler for that I read a lots of negative post from that cooler.

Last Tip: Start from slower speed and continue jumping to 3.0 GHz maybe 2.6 GHz is easy speed to achieve later continue 2.7, etc. Is better to go in step and you need utilities like CPU-Z, Prime95, Powermonitor and temperature monitor to check the stability and temperature of the cpu.

tks for your reply =)... i'm really gratefull =)!!!
i installed EVEREST on my pc and some specs are different like the cpu TEMP. in my BIOS it says 48 degrees, but in EVEREST it says 25degrees... which one is right??? EVEREST? i hope so....

soo... here are more specs:

Hard Disk temp. : 32 Degrees
GPU temp. : 46 degrees
Cpu temp. : 25 degrees
CPU core 1 temp. : 30 degrees
CPU core 2 temp. : 26 degrees
Motherboard temp. : 30 degrees

I'm live in Puerto Rico, I think is better for you to buy in some place in Europe??? Because Newegg is in California USA. I have a doubt wuth your memories, they are 533 MHz??? Socket AM2 use DDR2 800 MHz and is very sensitive to memory type. Another thing I have the same problem with the temp and I use hardware monitor come with my mobo so for me Bios temp are more confident to use. For last with stock cooler I think you can achieve 2.4 GHz, more than that I think is very dangerous with stock cooler. Here are very useful people if you wants pm logainofhades or I_Love_Tacos, this guys help me a lot and have more knowledge.
