windows update ?

yesterday i did the auto update of windows
and i did the resart that windows ask for
after resart i get backgroung and mouse pointer only

i have to go through task manager to get anything
no start menu or icons

try a system restore. If that doesnt work then try safemode and uninstall the updates you just did.

i did a sys restore it is working fine now
it was kinda hard to find sys restore
under task manager but i finally found it
had to go to windows <help and support>

Keep in mind sometimes updates just take a while to run their course. What you might percieve as a crashed explorer.exe could just be the updates still running. If that happens I usually let it sit for a few minutes before I do anything.
