I'm attempting to install an 8800GTX vid card into my system. Mobo = GIGABYTE GA-965G-DS3, with F6 BIOS. Every time I seat the card into the PCI-E slot, I get the whole Gigabyte "I'm going to auto-reset every three seconds" deal. PSU is Powertek 5-series 750V, puts out 42A on the 12V rail (acto newegg). Suggestions? Help?

Any other info needed, just let me know.

I can't completely disable; I can either always enable, or enable if no PCI-E VGA card is installed. The second option is the default value.

I did get it to stop the auto-reset thing a couple times, but got no video output from the card or the onboard.

rrr...

Also... make sure that you save the settings once you change something in the BIOS or else it won't effect anything.

Another thing why did you get GA-965G-DS3, instead of GA-965P-DS3?

I did save the settings...not THAT much of a noob. :D

I'm not sure why I got the G instead of P. Price? I wanted onboard vid for some reason? I wasn't paying attention? It looks like I might end up having to switch boards, but I want to exhaust all other options first.

I did. Someone told me a post on another board said that this board has probs. with memory, and that I should try underclocking my RAM. Odd...
