I am currently running Windows XP? I have a copy of Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition. My PC is mostly for gaming and music. Would Windows Server 2003 be faster than XP? I heard it handles multiple threads better than XP? I have a dual core cpu as well. I know how to enable Direct X and sound and stuff but I am wondering if it will be worth it. Any comments or opinions would be appreciated.

I run WinServer2k3 w/Beta SP2 and IE7 Beta 3 as a client OS.
From my experience you would be better off using WinXP Pro SP2 for gaming and Internet browsing. When Vista is available go with the deluxe edition and upgrade your video card, increase RAM and get the fastest CPU your mobo can use.
Minimum requirements for Win Vista to run well:
DX 8 Video Accelerator
1GB of RAM
CPU over 2GHz for PC or 1.6GHz for Notebook
