Ok get this I can play an online game like Battlefield 2142 for like hours but the moment I start to surf the net after like just a couple minutes surfing I lose connection and my cable modem has to reboot---Comcast tech support are idiots they just blame in on Vonage and then I tell them I don't have Vonage plugged in and it still does it so they say its signal strength, tech comes out says signal strength is ok---I've turned to you guys cuz three fourths of you are way smarter than any of the tech guys--usually i am to but this one has me stumped

PLEASE HELP

thanks

Take your modem in and exchange it for a new one. I had problems with mine kicking out also. Walked in and they exchanged it no problem.
I still have some problems with it kicking out, mainly on p2p files, but my download speeds are much higher. I was getting about 550 to 600 on a UT2 file. New modem was downloading same file at 800 to 850 KB/s.

do you have a router? If so take it out of the loop and see if problem still happens.

Try new nic if you can. Change network cables.
