More Information

Just a couple days ago, I lost the ability to change file properties in Windows Explorer in the "My Music" folder.  It has affected my ability to edit MP3 files in this program.  For instance, when I right click on an MP3 file, select 'Properties', and choose the 'Summary' tab, I don't have all the options in the Advanced fields? I can only enter "simple" info, such as "Track Number, Title and Comments".  And even though this information is present on most of the MP3 files, it no longer shows in the "Details" view of My Music folder.  I know it's there, because it does show in other applications, such as winamp, i-tunes and musicmatch.  And I can edit the data in these programs, but I prefer to do it in Explorer (i.e, My Music).  Does anyone have any ideas why can I no longer edit or see these other field that have always been available to me (such as Album Title, Artist, Year, Genre, etc.)??  I have tried everything...  I tried system restore, but it said it couldn't restore for some reason.  I have tinkered with the Folder Options, resetting to the default options, then to many variations thereof, and it didn't help.  Logged in as a different user, and that didn't help.  Nothing I do seems to work.  I'm becoming desparate for ideas.  I would greatly appreciate any help...
