Is the $1300 budget to buy everything?

So you want 1 250GB HD and 2 500 GB HDs, a DVD-rom/burner, a tower case and decent sized PSU. A NAS and Server won't take much for a CPU, I would probably get 2 gigs of RAM and a video card, you say you want to game but at what level? WOW, higher or lower. On board sound, dual gigabyte net to save slots. You might also want to look at a dual tuner card to save slots and money. Why Myth? It is a PITA to set up, frre is one things but...

1300 to uy everything but monitor

yes on the HDs
not worried about a burner yet
gaming will be FPS BF call of duty and a few older games that i have
I agree that getting dual nics on board
the reason i was going with the 3 150's is because i already have them.
It is a pain to setup but i am needing more experience at it I have mess with it some at work but would like to know more.

so the software is not a big deal now i just need some help in getting the right hardware. It will be more of a server than a gaming box. Stream live video from it but not High Def.

What size monitor are you looking at for the office front end, your games won't take much to power, a big monitor might.

I understand on the tuner cards and Myth, you know what it takes and I did hear about some work with the Fedora crew to smooth out the installs.

You need a MB with 3 PCI and a PCI-E, 3 sata ports and a IDE port. Any other needs, or parts you want to use?

For your uses, I might look at the low-end AMD with those new prices, $73 for a CPU.

I have a 42' plasma with a 21 crt right beside it so i dont need any monitors.

As far as a motherboard and processor i have no clue i just want to be able to expand for harddrives since this will also be a FPS and media server. and a decent graphics card to go with it
