is there a utility in windows xp or for download that would let me make a install disk for windows xp?

You'll have to be a bit more specific:

Are you trying to create backup of your original XP install CD

OR

Are you trying to create a CD that'll install XP with all the subsequent Service Packs and Updates?


The former can probably be achieved through usual pirate methods. I can't help you, as I don't do piracy and in any case this forum prohibits discussing it even if I did know anything!

The latter requires you to create "slip-streamed" disk. I've seen it discussed on these forums, so do a search or Google for it.
