Can't install xp on new machine

Hi all, I just built a new machine and I'm having a heck of a time trying to install xp. First, my cd won't boot for whatever reason. I downloaded the six setup disks and now when it gets to the part where the "Read Me" comes up, the F8 button doesn't work to accept the agreement. Ironically, the Esc button works just fine to quit the install. Please help. Setup: A8N32-sli deluxe, X2 4400+ proc, lite-on dvd and dvd+rw dual layer drives, wd 250gb hdd, X1800XT video card.

lol thats wierd , hmmm you sure thers nothing wrong with ur F8 key

Nothing is wrong with it...at least that I know of. I'll probably pick up a cheapie keyboard today to see if that'll help.

Well, you were right. The keyboard was messed up. I went to Fry's and picked up one just to try and Igot XP installed. I'm using the new comp. right now to write this. Thanks!!!
