Hi,

I recently built a systemwith an Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe and a 7900GX2 (yes, the big OEM version). Howerver, when i power up the system all the fans start spinning and the monitor says that it's receiving a signal. but nothing shows on the screen. I just stays black.

I borrowed a friend's X300 and tried it, and everything worked perfectly. what could be the problem?

Off the top of my head.......if you put in another graphics card and it works, then maybe the graphics card is the culprit ;)

Or that you got a PSU supply problem to feed the GX2 since the 300 sucks hardly any power.

Put the GX2 into your buddy's system and see if it boots. If it does, then it's not the card. Likely PSU, mobo, or a cable.

sorry, My specs:

AMD X2 4600+ Regular HSF
2x1Gb Corsair Value select RAM
XFX 7900GX2
2x250Gb Seagate Barracuda 7200.9
550W PSU with 36A on the 12+V rail
19' widescreen Monitor.

SkyGuy:

Can't do that, his PSU is 350W or something. I don't think it would work

Can you get into the nvidia driver, probaly not but you can try to remove the driver and set XP for a genaric setting to bypass the card and get the window setting to match the monitor setting.
