Specs:
X2 3800+
2gb Crucial PC2-5300

Trying to overclock but my system became unstable after 2.4ghz so I was going to up the voltage. However, my BIOS just says [AUTO] for my Voltage so I have to use programs to check it.

CPU-Z says its 1.168v.
Core Temp says my VID is 1.3v
SpeedFan says my Vcore1 is 1.17v, and Vcore2 is 3.2v.

Which one of these is my real voltage?

And also, if it's not my voltage that's causing instability, what could it be?

I set my RAM down from 333mhz to 266mhz, and the HT Link down to 4x when overclocking.

The lowest v-core I've seen for X2s is 1.25v, so you may have a problem.
What mobo do you have? What psu?

My PSU is 550w, not sure about the brand since I'm in computer class right now.

My mobo is an Asus M2N-e with the BIOS it came with, haven't flashed it at all.

And yeah I'm wondering why my BIOS doesn't say my voltage, it just says AUTO and then gives me the different numbers I can set it at.

Ok I dug a little deeper into my BIOS and found the monitoring page, it says my Vcore is 1.33v, does that sound accurate for default settings?

This would make my CPU an 89W one right? According to this, http://amdcompare.com/us-en/deskto [...] 3800IAA5CU
