Okay, I just built a new machine. When I scroll up or down in IE, my cpu usage spikes and my browser lags dramatically whether I use the mouse wheel or the manual scroll to the right. I just downloaded firefox and it is not much better. Specs are:
Athlon 64 X2 4200+ w/ AS5 and stock HSF
ASUS M2N-E MB in Cooler Master Centurion 5
Corsair xms2 ddr2-800 pc2-6400
Connect3D x1900xt 512 mb gpu connected via dvi cable to an LG 19in 1400:1 contrast 4ms lcd monitor running at 1280x1024
Everything else seems ok so far. However I havent really tested anything yet. I just set up my network connection and played a few cerimonial games of minesweeper ans solitaire. Its late now, I'll finish updating everything in the morning after I get some sleep and see if that helps.
