Maybe Shanghai will be TSMC-produced. I believe they use SOI.

Actually... I guess its not such a big deal after all .. lol
If they are only refering to gpus.
My blurry eyes saw this up near the bottom.

It must be tough for them to get business. They just have crappy little acounts, lie Nvidia, Ati, Via. [/sarcasm]
I believe they are the sacond largest silicon producer in the world.
The quality of thier product may not be up to Intel, but it is very good.

TSMC specializes in mass produced. Thier transistors are not quite the quality of Amd, or even chartered.

TSMC and UMC eyeing 45nm production

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) will start volume production on 45nm technology in the third quarter of 2007 at the earliest, according to company vice president Jack Sun, while sources added that United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) is also working on developing its 45nm process technology.
