After months and months of reading things all over the net I finally went
with the Sony 42we655.

Tell me I'm right or tell me I'm wrong, but you know after reading all the
confusing problems different technologies are having, what's a guy to do?

Could have done better on line I suppose, but getting it for 2500 plus a 10
% discount - locally.

Had purchased, on the net, a 37 inch Phillips Plasma which did not have on
it what was advertised.

Especially, it did not have closed captioning.

Will be coming in Thursday - will be setting it up on DISH.

WELL??????????????????????????????????????

Thanks,

Jim

Not sure what I wanted to know - kinda elated that I finally made a decision
on what to purchase and am wondering if I made a good choice.

The 42we655 arrived yesterday and I had it up and running in short time. No
adjustments had to be made yet. Seems like a good set. Does anyone out
there have the Sony 42" LCD???? What do you think of it??

Thanks,

JIm

I've had mine for about two months now, and have not one complaint. I
have HD service from Comcast (with their DVR box) and I've had family
and even my fiancee comment on how great it looks. You know you've won
the battle when your fiancee wants to come over and watch "American
Dreams" in HD rather than her TV...

I'm waiting on Xbox and Gamecube progressive scan kits, but even Madden
'05 looks good...
