4GB memory in xp 32bit

Does XP work with 4 GB of memory?

I cant seem to get a straight answer on this.

It will run, but you won't be able to use all 4GB. XP is limited to 4 GB, total, of address space - which includes PCI slots, graphic card, chipset - all of which require memory addressing.

In reality, XP will only "see" 2 to 3 Gigs. If you want to use all 4, then you'll have to use Windows x64 - provided you have a 64-bit CPU.
