Hey i was wondering if there was a way to view a users password in the group policy management console and tell it to a user instead of having to reset the assword and have them change the password again, only to have them forgget t again. also how does windows server 2003 store its password information, hash? or some other way. if anyone has any experience in this field this has been and ongoing problem in my building that i would like corrected if possible.

There is no way to retreive the password if they forget it. It's supposed to be secure. Windows credentials are never sent in plain-text and they are absolutely encrypted.

Your only option is to reset the password if they forget it.
