I am currently looking in building a water cooling system and this is what I am down too I must admit I am looking to build a computer and silence is important but I can live with some noise. It is mainly for video editing and gaming.

I am looking for help to select the power supply and possibly a good case where I could mount the pump as high possible in the tower..since from what I have read the best way would get the pump/reservoir as high possible so the reservoir can’t over flow water don’t go up and if it would be down if I would put too much water it would over flow and at the bottom of the case put a T line when draining the system is needed.

I was currently looking to get Thermaltake Kandalf LCS since I can get a really good deal on any Thermaltake case from my local shop (I really like the front/build in radiator) and that way I could setup the system with 1x3fan rad+1x2fan rad for the maximum cooling effect and since it come with a build in reservoir/pump I could use 2 pumps to make certain that the flow is constant.

But I have seen a lot of users that have there pump/reservoir at the bottom of there case (is there any issue when feeding the water in the system that it kind of over flow during that process if you fill too much water , I know you should never fill it in the case)

I would like advice regarding the flow when you have a lot of tubing each parts have there own incoming ( I use a Y line to split the tubing in 3 one goes to CPU another goes to first VIDEO CARD and a third line goes to the second VIDEO CARD then back to T line then Y then radiator)

Reservoir->Pump->(Y) line one direct to CPU the second line goes to a (Y) line that will go in one video card each then the 2 video card goes back in a (Y) then connect to another (Y) where the CPU and the 2 VIDEO collide then it would go in the Thermochill Pa 120.2 radiator then again in the fron radiator of the Kandalf LCS back to reservoir..i am not too sure where I should but the second pump or should I just keep the front rad and ditch the crappy thermaltake reservoir/pump and only get the MCP655(Will it have power for all that tubing alone?) and get some custom reservoir.

Main components:

MB Asus striker extreme
RAM 2 GB Patriot PC2-8500 EP
VIDEO CARD 2xBFG 8800 GTX OC WC
CPU BLOCK Apogee GT
CPU E6600
RADIATOR Thermochill Pa 120.2 Dual 120MM 1/2IN Barbs
RADIATOR FAN 4 x Noctua NF-S12-1200 120MM 1200RPM 81M3/H 17DBA
(2 fan on both sides) 2 in -> RAD -> 2 out
(From what I have read it’s the best setup to cool down water using a rad more air flow the best it is)
PUMP MCP655
(no too sure on the noise for this pump(it as 4 speed but no information on noise/speed ratio if any one know please give information)

The Thermochill would be located at the back of my computer case like the fashion Koolance attach there radiator at the back of computers.

Any way at this point I am stuck at the case / psu / single dual pump setup?

I currently know that with time I would upgrade to a Quad Core and that I would need a 1000w psu but looking at the Enermax Galaxy there really noisy.. 40-45dba.. and I don’t know if those fan can be exchanged easily to put some fan that are less noisy.

About dual pump setup is there recommendation that both pump need to function at the exact same kind of flow pressure or it doesn’t Mather?

Help me with case suggestion and powerful but silent power supply and of course the matter of having 2 big radiator should I need 2 pump or only the MCP 655 would do the trick but I would not run the pump at the maximum speed less noise so keep that in consideration this is why I was to go dual pumps.

Sorry about the long stories but I am having big problem with selection at this point.

Thank you in advance for the all the suggestions that will be provided.
