Build now, or wait?

Hello all, just want your opinion.

My 2yr old system was great, but I'm dying to play Oblivion and some other hardware-taxing games in all their glory. Thanks to AMD killing off my socket 939, I've got to rebuild my Mobo,CPU,Mem; plus get a new GPU. I've allready decided to make the jump to Intel.

Summoning all my strength of will, I think I can make it untill the 22nd for the price drop on C2D.

But should I really be waiting for the R600 sometime in May? What are the odds of another delay?

And will it push down the price of my current pick, the 8800GTS 320MB?

Anything else I'm missing? Thanks.

Yes, it will push the price of both the GTX and GTS way down. I would wait but not to buy the R600, but fot the price cuts.

Buy the CPU and everything else after the 22nd and use the old graphics card until May when R600 comes out.
