Ok this is going to sound dumb. My PC (MSI KN9, AM2 570) has "dual gigabit". [two RJ45 ports] Does this mean I can plug to cables (from the same router) in and gain any advantage? It would be nice to lower my ping at my favorite HALO server. How is are these AM2 dual ports used?

Any thoughts?

In a short answer, no. Basically if you could you'd have a 2GB network hooked up to a 10MB Network (or what ever your speed is). Enan a 100MB network is way faster that almost any internet connection.
It is used for internet sharing without a router or if you host a game on a LAN to allow double the bandwidth with the server (your PC).
