I look at this page.

Its the performance chart for Stalker.

From the chart. Only Geforce 8800 GTS 320MB can play S.T.A.L.K.E.R Smoothly at 1280x1024x32 with 0xAA 4xAF? It shows 66.3 fps.

Below 60 fps, it will be laggy.

Other card is so weak? The Requirement for S.T.A.L.K.E.R is that high and only 1 video card can play it? Not really making sense there.

I also went to this page.

Regarding the CPU performance.

Basically, it shows not even Core 2 Quad Q6600 can play Stalker at 1280x1024x32 0xAA 0xAF. 44.4fps only. wow, that super slow plus its a 7900GS.

Doesn't that seems kinda weird?

Can someone please explain?

So why people bother to buy Core 2 Quad Q6600 if Althon 64 x2 3800 have the same performance as it.

I just bought a AMD X2 5600 upgrading from AMD althon 64 3000+ hoping my games will run better with my x1950pro because all my games is so laggy right now with low settings. Seems like I am throwing my money down to the drain buying AMD x2 5600.

Because people don't only play stalker... seriously, a c2q can say... encode a divx movie 2x+ faster than a x2 3800 that is a 2x+ real world performance gain.
