Is there some way to record an audio stream with the standard XP
installation? Specifically, if one plays a radio program from the web
and through the speakers, is there some way to record it to listen to it
later? Specifically, I'd like to set something up on a timer to record
a web audio stream when I'm away from the computer. The "Sound
Recorder" applet just seems to be able to record from a microphone only.
Alternatively, is there some other software that people would care to
recommend?

Nothing comes with XP to do what you want but if you google "record audio
stream" you will find lots of stuff that will do what you want.

If you knew as much as you thought you know,
You would realize that you don't know what you thought you knew!
