Hi,
Just wondering if any1 knows what is stopping me connecting to my PC from work using RealVNC. It works fine using logmein.com but i'm just wanting to see what RealVNC is like, just for curiosity (and also, i'm gonna be using it soon at work anyway).

My home pc and router are setup, using no-ip also to forward the ip address to an 'easy to remember' address. All relevant ports have been opened. Can't connect using VNC as the request times out.

From work, i'm not even able to ping my home pc even when i know it's on. Get a request timed out message.

Any ideas??

I use it a little at work.
Make sure you have port 5900 forwarded on your router. I would also set your computer to a static ip so it wont change.
If you have any firewalls on your pc make sure that port 5900 is open. If your using the windows firewall make sure that 'Dont allow exceptions' is not selected. Also check your modems ip before going to work as it could change, unless you specificaly get a static ip from your ISP.
