Windows XP Home SP2 Solution???

Hi, i just bought a 150GB Western Digital Raptor 10k HDD to use has my primary HDD. Problem is i got the older version of Windows XP Home NOT SP2. Will it recognize the full size of the HDD or i got to buy Windows XP Home SP2??

I think if you use Western Digital's software, you can allocate the entire drive as one 150GB partition. Windows may only recognize it as a 137GB drive - until you download & apply SP2 - which is the first thing you should do anyways.

If your not going to use SP2, you might want to break the drive into 2 partitions to be safe.
