windows XP noob instal question

I have a 4year old dell, and both of the HDD's in the machine have died. I have the windows xp code, and the reinstallation cd that came with the computer. If i buy a new HDD, will i be able to install the copy of windows i have? Or do i have to go buy another copy?

No, you don't have to buy another copy... the Dell reinstall CD will work just fine.
