Hi

I have this piculiar issue printing from Terminal server to our office. We have 2 office one in Toronto and one in Montreal. We often log into terminal server and run some of hte software fromt there. But we are having some redirect issues..

Issue: We can only see the printer or the printer is redirected from Terminal server when One specific user is logged into windows in Toronto and anyone from that computer is logged into Terminal server. Anyone could be the specific user itself or anyone esle's account. So. printing is only possible when a specific user is logged into a specific computer and form that specific computer someone is logged into Terminal server.

Below is the scenerio given in detail to best understand the issue.

1. Lets call comp1 to the specific computer from where a specif user needed
to be logged into the windows and also the TS.
2. The test computer is comp2.
3. The user that needs to be loged in is USER A
4. Test user USER B.

Scenerio 1.
Computer User Result
Windows log-in Comp1 User A
Terminal log-in Comp1 User A Can see
printer from terminal.

Scenerio 2.
Computer User Result
Windows log-in Comp1 User A
Terminal log-in Comp1 User B Cannot see
printer from terminal.

Scenerio 3.
Computer User Result
Windows log-in Comp1 User B
Terminal log-in Comp1 User A Can see
printer from terminal.

Scenerio 4.
Computer User Result
Windows log-in Comp1 User B
Terminal log-in Comp1 User B Cannot see
printer from terminal.

Scenerio 5.
Computer User Result
Windows log-in Comp2 User B
Terminal log-in Comp2 User B Cannot see
printer from terminal.

Scenerio 6.
Computer User Result
Windows log-in Comp2 User A
Terminal log-in Comp2 User B Cannot see
printer from terminal.

Scenerio 7.
Computer User Result
Windows log-in Comp2 User B
Terminal log-in Comp2 User A Cannot see
printer from terminal.

Scenerio 8.
Computer User Result
Windows log-in Comp2 User B
Terminal log-in Comp2 User B Cannot see
printer from terminal.

So, from the test what i see is that it is user name to windows login that
user B and anyone from that computer with user name to TS is logged in than
we see printer.

Therefore it is attached to the specific user name to windows and the
specific machine.

Hope this helps. PLEASE HELP.

Andrew
