I love computers! What I want to discuss is ... the technology is under going so much changes, prices are falling every quarter by substantial margin. How often do you update your computer?
So are you a budget oriented person or fairly flexible or do you want to go for the best, or do you invest once and no updates?
For the budget oriented, i want to ask how do you plan to keep in touch with rapidly evolving technology.
As for me...
I plan to invest in a AMD 3600+ which is very cheap. I plan to upgrade to a faster processor like the 4800+ in a year or year and a half when the prices drop.
Mobo, i'm going for nvidia 6150 chipset based mobo like the asus pv-vm since it has hdtv, s-video and high def audio.
1gb 533 ram from transcend, maybe i jump to 800 later.
17 in LCD. I definitely want to spend money on the LCD, its slim, light weight and looks great too.
DVD writer.
Everything included it comes out to about $550. Maybe a 7600GT later.
