I have a friend who recently got an HDTV
It works fine for all HDTV broadcasts, except for Monday Night
Football.
I have not seen it but he says that the screen has "green flickers"
that make the game unwatchable, but the comercials come in fine.
This only happens on MNF not on other NFL games.
He called the cable company, while it was going on and spoke with the
people there who claimed they were watching it just fine. their
suggestion was to "reset the HDTV reciever"
I don't know what TV he has.
Has anyone ever seen such a thing? I have to think that it is some
kind of problem with the abc feed, as it does not do it during
commercials, but It is certainly beyond me.

FWIW, MNF always looks great in HDTV here in Boston via Comcast. Now if they
could just steal Suzy from ESPN to do the on the sideline stuff......

It sounds almost like an HDTV version of Macrovision or something. I
wonder how all his stuff is hooked up, if he has anything going
through a VCR or if it's all hooked up directly to the set.

I live in the Portland area and receive MNF via off the air antennae. I've
had no problem with the picture, it looks great.

I was thinking the same thing about the macrovision
he runs component video straight out of the HD tuner to his tv
