Laptop Vista accessing Desktop XP !

I want to access a desktop PC running XP with PCAnywhere, so that I can controll or have all of the functions of the DEsktop from the laptop.

Is PCAnywhere the correct choice?

I want to do more than just network share a hard drive or folder I want to be able to assimilate the complete desktop from the laptop !

Any suggestions?

If the desktop has XP Pro, use Remote Desktop or VNC if it's XP Home.

What I have used which works good is DameWare Remote control.
However, if ur gonna try and play a game on the laptop that is loaded on the desktop its not gonna happen.

Where can I get that from? I think I may need it!

You can also look into DynDNS. If you have the Home version of XP go to Microsoft and download the app Remote Desktop. Install it and your favorite connection protocol and you should have no problems. Just make sure the router is also setup to accept the remote connection. Might have to reconfig the router.
