Please help!!!!!!Want to install fresh copy of windows but..

I got a laptop and i just wanted to reinstall windows with out all of the crap that is on the install disk that toshiba provides? Is there a legal alternative method that i can do and use my key possibly downloading windows xp and using my key?

I know that if you at some pint bought a Windows XP original cd, and you lost it, you can ask for someone for his cd and isntall using your cd key.

If you have a Windows CD, you can just reinstall Windows by booting the CD, usually F12 will let you choose where to boot, or go into BIOS and set the machine to boot from the CD. If just you got a restore disk, which is likely if you didn't specifcally ask for the Windows CD, then, as far as I know, you're out of luck. You'll have to buy a new copy of Windows XP, you can get an OEM version, which is a lot cheaper.
