Argh, just 3dmarks! :x

I have high hopes for this card, and would definately buy a $399 8800GTX equivalent. That is exciting.

Problems is, we need to see games benched not 3dmarks to get any idea of the cards performance. And IMO what is going to matter more (for me) is which does better in DX10 games. I can live with the 8800GTS for now, but would hope it's replacement rocks for Crysis. My step up will expire before I know that though.

My specs are an OC'ed AMD Skt 939 4200 X2 at 2.42Ghz, with 2 GB of RAM at 440 mhz and 2-3-3-7 1T timings, and an X1900XT 512 at stock speeds... I feel that if I got that card, I'll just end up bottlenecking it

the Radeon HD 2900 series features 320 stream processors and supports 128-bit HDR rendering, 24xAA, physics processing.

24xAA?! When did they get that? Man, I'm behind the times on R600. Gotta do some reading.

for just $400, i think that card is going to beat the crap out of the 8800gtx and the upcoming 8900gtx, if not the 8900gtx the r600xt is still a great deal for only $400

how much is the 8800gtx right now? 540+ ?

you know what that means? that means we can get decent cards for great prices, just think the 2800xt .... 350? 300? the 2700xt 250? 200?

either way you think of it we are going to get great cards for great prices

If you can get that fx60 up to 3ghz it shouldn't be that noticeable. I think that the performance difference between the 2900 and 8800 isn't the big deal, its the price.

R600XT Scores 12K in 3DMark06
is that a typo? did they mean 05? i know that 3dmark score and synthetic benchmarks aren't always everything, and sorry if thats a stupid question.

BTW, what does the 8800GTX score in 3dmark06?
