Deals too good to pass up?

I'm trying to build something akin to Sanji's $750 build, but to keep costs down I always have an eye out for my local Fry's "stupid silly" deal. Two such deals popped up today and I wondered if I should jump on them.

C2D 4300 paired with ECS P4m800Pro-M v2 for $129

The board's crap, but that's $40 off Newegg.

And Antec NeoHe 500W PSU for $59 (3x12v rails @ 17A each)

I've seen the 550W highly recommended, but would the 500W be sufficient for an 8800 GTS with a modest processor and minimal peripherals? I see the 550W has a MIR right now making it $70 on newegg, but there's no shipping to pay for when I buy at Fry's.

Will this PSU cut it?

Ya, that PSU provides enough power for an 8800GTS no problem. It's not the best PSU, but for that price certainly can't knock it at all! I'd jump at it.

Yes, that mobo is crap but it'll handle a 4300 nicely. And you might get lucky with a very minor overclock anyways. The 4300's 9x multiplier will get you bigger clocks without raising FSB much. You should be able to hit 2.6ghz (285 FSB) without any voltage increases either. I'm sure the ECS should hit 285 FSB. If so, then you're laughin :D

Oh, I'd throw out the board. It doesn't have a PCIe slot, so buying the 8800 GTS would make me look like a real dope! I'll probably wrap the board in a big handkerchief and step on it at my wedding!
