So im getting ready to pull the trigger on the 22nd and im looking for some expert advice to finalize my list. The system will be used mostly for general stuff, media and some gaming. My goal is to make a quiet, small computer with some bite to it. I was shooting for an e4300 pushed up to 3 ghz.

Budget is $700
All of the items below ive done some research on, so if you think something else is better please explain why. All advice appreciated, thank you for viewing!!

CASE $80
ULTRA MicroFLy

or can somebody tell me the difference between this one ^ and this one:

I can see that the later has a a chip and a socket near the pci express slot, which are absent from the cheaper borad. Is it stuff i want?

CPU $113
E4300

RAM $119
Corsair TWIN2X2048-5400C4 2GB DDR2-675 XMS2-5400

PSU $67
SeaSonic S12-330 ATX12V 330W

Grand Total : ~$650

Note, ive ommited a video card for the time being since it dosn't seem like a good time to purchase a mid range card, with both NV and ATI's offerings yet to hit the shelves.

I can't get the 965P series because i need a microATX to fit in this case. Does anyone here have experience with the Abit F-I90HD?

As far as the power supply goes, my friends running a X2 5200 OC with sli 7800 GTX's OC , 5 Hard drives and two optical drives and only pulls 250-350 watts. So i dont see how 500 watts could possibly be necessary for my little build? And its an extra $55 for the 500w version =P

its not all about watts its about amps. the psu you chose can only supply 22 amps on the 12v rail. this will work for lower end gpu's like the 7600gt

this psu the same price and much better of a choice link

i doubt that. check out PSU 101 and use the psu calculator.

Hes got a UPS that displays the wattage use in real time. Its never goten as high as 400. I put his specs into the Extreme Power Supply calculator and it recomended 820 watt PSU. Maybe im totaly wrong, but my impression is these wattage requirements that everyone quote around here are exaggerations.

The FSP you linked looks good. Maybe ill get that.

Which works out well with the fact that many of the PSU's claimed ratings are also exaggerations. There are very few brands where I'd feel comfortable pulling more than 70% of rated power continuously.

And of course, the next generation of graphics cards will probably take even more power, so some reserve capacity is nice to have.
