I know that putting the windows page file on another partition, on the same physical hard drive as system files, will not improve the swap file performance.

I'm wondering if I should create a separate partition on the system drive to reduce the size of backup image files I create of my C drive. I use Nero 7 and Norton Ghost 10 to create image backups.

I guess my question is, do these programs automatically (or can they be configured to) skip the swap file when making an image copy?
