So I've ran a very minor problem with the p182 case and the PC Power and Cooling PSU. I would like to run as many wires in back of the motherboard tray as possible but of course some of the wires aren't long enough. The EATX12V 8 pin cable doesn't reach for one...any downfall in using a 8 pin to 8 pin extension cable?

This is the season for 'extensions'. I use one similar to this in order to connect a front power sliding door to one of my cases. Get one at Newegg or knock yourself out and contact your CPA:
