it seems that the new nvidia products find they way to the consumer in a unusual manner...where is the fanfare and the red carpet for the midrangedx10 cards....? 8O
now seriously ...i talked with my hardware provider,he told me that i have to wait for at least 2 3 weeks until i can get one...and in another stores they have it...i expected a calculated and organized flood of these products frrom nvidia ....not just random apparitions
maybe i'm overreacting... :?:

If you were Nvidia, you'd try and make some money before the release of the r600 while you had the chance...The sooner the better, but I'll wait til the smoke clears and get whatever the best bang for the buck is :p .

Somewhere around the 200-230 mark i would guess. If you ask me that card is worthless when for 300$ you can get the MUCH more powerful 8800GTS 320MB

i get your point
i think nvidia is concentrating forces on the premises of the release of r600 and they will have a response to the board that i think it will swipe the floor with 8800gtx...but let's get patient and wait ...it's like watching a chess game ...man it's action in slowmotion
and ATI is not stupid at all ...personally i think that theirs dx10mediumrange cards will be better that nvidia's...and cheaper prices...just a guess not very logical ...but we will see

sweet, im gonna wait for benchmarks to surface before i make my 1st dx10 purchase. I think i might actually go with Ati this time around, with higher memory buses i think ati's mid-high end cards will hold an advantage over nvidia's mid-range cards, especially where the 8600gt/s is concerned (i think the card is overpriced)

I agreed, who would buy a 8600gt for that price, when you can have 8800gts 320mb for 259$ with double or triple performances.

Come on Nvidia, give us something worth to buy.

Here it is, all but the price : http://www.techpowerup.com/?29365

Dang, it's not ALL there unfortunately, I'm still waiting to see pics of the memory modules on the GTS. It supports GDDR3/GDDR4 and with people claiming 1200+/2400+mhz on their GTSs I wanna see which ones have which memory.

1200 on 0.9ns GDDR4 makes sense, 1200 on 1-1.1ns GDDR3 is quite an accomplishment and may be rarer.

it's going for 189 Dollars at www.zipzoomfly.com check it out

http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=327724

wow, that's a great deal

and that's the top of line GTS version thats supposed to be on the 7900GTX level w/o the power hungry requirements

i bet EVGA will have their version at a lower price around $179 or even less

coupled w/ the 90 day step up program, you'll be set for the next 3 months

Let everything play out over the next two weeks, you know NV price cuts are coming.
