hi

i haven't had any problems till windows installed the latest security patch.

Now i have a spyware program i can't seem to get rid of.

I use Xesoft to remove it and after a little while my antivirus program(Avast) asks to reboot my pc.

then i run the xesoft scan again and the spyware is back.

the spyware is RealSpy. and is reported as a severe threat.

Does anyone have any advice on how i can fix this problem.
It is getting frustrating.

This is on 2 pc's that are on the same router but are not networked. Both had the problem start right after the windows security update.

Thanks

hi

well i searched and examined the file system and what it turns out to be is that Xosoft is giving false positives.

I removed Xosoft and installed Super antispyware pro. and it found 26 tracking cookies and gave no false positives.

on my other pc i installed my brothers copy of spysweeper and it found tracking cookies but gave no false positives.

so i went to the avast forums and guess what.....Yup Xosoft is listed as a rogue program by several sites and gives alot of false positives.

I appreciate all the help offerred here. :)

thanks
