Hi, can someone please try this if they have the Asus PC Probe 2 installed. Open your volume conrtol (in the system tray on your taskbar). Make sure that your "wave" level is on the highest setting. Now close the volume control.

Open the Asus PC Probe 2 (dont do anything, just open it). Now check your Volume control again, did the Probe lower your "wave" level?? Mine does this all the time, its so frustrating as i dont want ANY application to mess with my volume/sound settings!

What can i do about it? I dont wana un-install the application because i want to monitor my temps, voltages, fan speeds, etc..

why don't you completely uninstall the asus software, then clean out any registry entries and files/folders it leaves behind, reboot and install the latest one again
