2 monitors

So i got my laptop screen to display on a regular computer screen but the size is messed up. the regular monitor has a larger screen but the display is howing as the same size as my laptop. so there are two large black spaces at the top and bottom of the regular screen. any suggestions?

Display Properties->Settings tab

Do you see 2 screens there w/ 1 and 2? Click on Identify to find out what screen is your external monitor. Then click that number on the screen and change the resolution.

If it is an LCD, the best is the native resolution of the monitor.

or use the monitor's on screen controls to adjust the picture on the screen (crt).

Your vid card may not be able to do it, so just a heads up there.
