Hello group,
To days ago I bought an Audiovox 6600 to replace my old Palm and cell combo.
Since then, activesync stalls (never ends syncing) when trying to sync
Act2005 contacts and activities. It stays at "looking for changes..." and
never ends. Finally, after 1 hour I terminate the task. Any ideas what might
be happening? Here are the hardware and software specs relating to my
problem.
PC: IBM Laptop PIII 7650 w/ 256MB RAM and Win2000 Pro w/ all the latest SP
and fixes.
ACT2005 v7.04
ActLink for v7.04
ActiveSync 3.8
Audiovox PPC6600 w/ Intel PXA263 and Win Mobile SE v4.21

Sorry but you are posting to the wrong group. This is a newsgroup for
Handheldpc palmtops. To learn the difference between a HPC (handheld
PC) and PocketPC go to this website http://www.hpcfactor.com/newsgroup/
or by sending them a email message at which they will be more than joyed
to answer your HPC questions.

First thing to try is rebooting your PC and soft reset your Pocket pC.
If that fails, run ScanPST on your Outlook data to confirm there are
no corruption issues. ScanPST will be located at C:\Program
Files\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\1033
If that fails, move *all* of your contacts to another folder
temporarily. See if it will sync then. This will remove all contacts
from your PPC temporarily. If it syncs ok, start moving contacts back,
while the device is docked, in small groups allowing them to sync over
before moving to the next.
If *that* fails, reinstall ActiveSync.
Finally, if all else fails, in Outlook, run Help|Detect & Repair.
