A used Radeon 9700 or 9800 Pro will be a good upgrade for your system, as well as another 512mb of RAM.

You probably could skip a PSU upgrade with a 9800.

its probably worth saying that I ran COD1/2 on 9600pro 512MB RAM and a P4 2.6Ghz and 250WPSU, it was ok - ish, this was many years ago though.

and by it ran I dont mean all that smoothly but it was playable and I still enjoyed it.

Well other then a new video card you will want to get another 512 mb of RAM.

Check your motherboard's manual (or the manufacturer's Web site) to see how much RAM it accepts. I hope you've got a decent motherboard that takes more than 512 MB. 1 GB will show a big improvement compared to 512 MB, in games as well as other programs.
