How much HDD space required for WinXP/Vista

Hi,

I'm planning to have only the OS on one drive and make Ghost image of it to save time re-installing everything everytime the OS starts to get too sluggish.

I am just wondering how much space I need for the WinXP (or Vista as I am planning to eventually move into that) to run it smoothly. Currently I'm having 50GB and that is certainly enough, but I think it is too much and I could manage with less (=shorter time creating/returning the ghost-image).

xp is probably 1.5gb but with all the partitioning and paging file stuff, you can safety give the o/s 4gb

vista...15gb for ultimate ed. i think would be nice and roomy

wait until office 2007 lol, good 10gb for it i hear

About the Office 2007, If I'll ever get it, I won't install it on OS drive, so it doesn't matter.
