I just built my computer and running WinXPCorpSP2 and have encoutered a problem. The windows theme default is the XP, which I can't stand so I switch to classic. But the problem is, whenever I restart my computer the theme has XP elements in it like the start bar and title bars. What's up with that?
if you go to my computer properties
advanced, performance settings, choose custom, and uncheck the last checkbox "use visual styles on windows buttons" then reboot, see if it sticks
otherwise your profile is not letting you save your preferences, in which case create a new user profile, make sure it's part of the administrators group and see if you make some changes, will they retain
also make sure ur current profile is part of the admins as well
